Podolsk Cable factory was founded in 1941 July 9.

Cable factory has proceeded a large way from a small scale handicraft to a big factory specialised on cable products. OJSC "PE "PODOLSKKABEL" is one of the largest producers of cables and wires with copper conductors in Russia. The variety of products consists of more than 3,000 types and sizes of cables and wires with copper conductors – cross section from 0,12 to 95 square mm in plastic insulation.

Cables and wires with the stamp of OJSC "PE "PODOLSKKABEL" are broadly used practically in all the branches of economy : Construction, Oil recovery, Radio and Energy, Electronics, Aircraft, Metallurgy, Machine Engineering, Communications and Agriculture. We give more attention to the development and implementation of the cables with new types of insulation, which can run in the hard environment of high temperatures, harmful media and irradiation. The cables made in Podolsk are installed in the majority of Power and Nuclear stations in Russia and overseas. The factory has the licence to make cable products for Nuclear stations.

The system of management of OJSC "PE "PODOLSKKABEL" is certified as corresponded to the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 of DEKRA company, GOST ISO 9001-2011 of OS SMK "SEKAB", to the requirements of GOST R ISO 14001-2007 OS "ANOTS "SEKAB" as well as to the requirements of GOST PB 0015-002-2012. The appropriate certificates confirm the endorsements.

The factory runs all the stages on cable and wires production: from wire drawing to the testing of ready products and its shipment by any type of vehicles.

The factory runs the production on modern processing equipment with the implementation of new processing methods. Its development is provided by Research and project centers of Russia and by the efforts of our factory.

In 2012 – 2013 the specialists of OJSC "PE "PODOLSKKABEL" have developed and implemented into real production new generation of cables in OJSC “PE”PODOLSKKABEL” – its brand name is KMEL. The cables are designed for digital and analog systems of data transmission, including structured cable systems. The cables under brand name of KMEL are used for the installation of cables between the instruments such as pressure, temperature and level transmitters, for the transmission of control signals, alarm signals, for the construction of main routes to transmit digital signals. In brief it is needed everywhere with stranded pairs, triplets, quads for connection systems with 2,3,4 wires.
