  • SIKORA - with its headquarters in Bremen, Germany has for more than three decades developed a reputation as a global leader in the supply and support of excellent measuring, controlling and testing equipment for the wire, cable, plastics and rubber industry.

In 1972, Harald Sikora founded the company with the presentation of the first non-contact measuring systems for the cable position in CV lines, the so-called "Catenary Control". This product became the platform guiding the company to become a world-wide leader in the field of measuring technology. Today the company operates through their headquarters in Germany combined with numerous international sales and service branch offices and a worldwide network of representatives. A large part of the annual turnover is invested in research and development of advanced technologies, which ultimately deliver the innovative solutions the company, has become known for internationally.

SIKORA proves its know-how by bringing to the marketplace innovative techniques of measuring methods, which guarantees the user the best possible control at cable production and rubber or plastic extrusion. The different devices and systems fulfill various tasks such as the determination of diameter and wall thicknesses, the testing of capacitance and insulation, as well as ovality and eccentricity measurement in hot and/or cold sections of an extrusion line. SIKORA offers an impressive range of reliable technology to measure a variety of values and to achieve the most reliable control of the extrusion process. To insure quality and reliability SIKORA has maintained high levels of internal production of all hard and software components to a high degree under the extensive quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. Continuous quality and precision are top priority during the production and development of the company's high-quality products.

Highlights from the actual scope of products:

    SIKORA X-RAY 8000

SIKORA's most successful X-RAY system with over 400 sold units, especially designed for use at CV lines for the production of medium, high, and extra high voltage cables. With highest precision, the X-RAY 8000 determines the wall thickness and eccentricity of the inner semiconductor, the insulation and the outer semiconductor of the cable, as well as the outer diameter and the ovality. The X-RAY 8000 is also available for SIOPLAS lines and flat cables.

    SIKORA X-RAY 6000

The X-RAY 6000 enables precise, non-contact measurement and control of diameter, wall thickness (single or multi layer), eccentricity and ovality at jacketing and insulating lines. The effective reduction of material consumption and start-up scrap, as well as the reduction of rejected cables due to lack of quality are the outstanding advantages of an X-RAY 6000 in the line of production.

    SIKORA CENTERVIEW 8000

For 100% non-contact measurement system at the production lines of LAN cables, coaxial cables, RF and telephone cables, as well as automotive cables and building wires, SIKORA offers the CENTERVIEW 8000, with most precise 8-point eccentricity, 4-axis diameter and 8-point ovality measurement.

In combination with the SIKORA processor and display unit ECOCONTROL 2000, all systems provide automatic control of line speed or extruder output, for most effective material savings and quality control.
